Rahmijati Jahja Gathers Pulubala Residents' Aspirations for Infrastructure Improvement and Agricultural Support

Gorontalo, dpd.go.id – Member of the House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) for the Gorontalo Province Electoral District, Hj. Rahmijati Jahja, gathered the aspirations of the residents of Pulubala District, Gorontalo Regency, during a recess on Tuesday (July 28, 2026). During the meeting, residents conveyed a number of priority needs, including road repairs, bridge construction, and corn seed assistance to support agricultural productivity.

The recess activity was attended by Village Head Alimin Momiyo, the Chairperson of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), village officials, community leaders, and dozens of residents who took the opportunity to convey various problems faced in their area.

Rahmijati Jahja emphasized that all community aspirations will be addressed and fought for through the representative function of the DPD RI.

"The recess is an opportunity for us to hear directly from the community. We will take inventory of all the aspirations expressed today and forward them to the relevant ministries and institutions for follow-up within their respective jurisdictions," said Rahmijati Jahja.

According to residents, the damaged condition of several roads and bridges has hampered public mobility and the distribution of agricultural produce. Furthermore, farmers are hoping for government support in the form of providing quality corn seeds to increase yields.

Responding to this, Rahmijati Jahja assessed that infrastructure development and strengthening the agricultural sector must go hand in hand because both have an important role in improving the welfare of rural communities.

"I will oversee this aspiration to ensure it gets the government's attention. Good infrastructure will streamline community activities, while support for the agricultural sector will strengthen the local economy," he added.

Through this recess activity, the DPD RI remains committed to strengthening its function of absorbing and overseeing regional aspirations as considerations in formulating national policies that favor the interests of the community.
