Four Pillars Socialization, Darwati A. Gani Highlights Importance of Unity Amid Diversity

Sabang, dpd.go.id — DPD RI member from Aceh Darwati A. Gani called on residents of Tapak Gajah Village, Sukajaya District, Sabang City, to strengthen unity and maintain harmony amid diversity. She made the call during a socialization session on the Four Pillars of the People’s Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia (MPR RI) on Friday morning (September 25, 2026).

During the event, Darwati discussed the four national pillars: Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Together, they serve as important foundations for social, national, and civic life.

According to Darwati, national values can be reflected through mutual respect, concern for others, and a willingness to accept differences within the community.

“We must preserve unity together. Differences in views and backgrounds should not divide us, but instead become a reason for us to respect one another and strengthen our sense of togetherness,” Darwati said.

She also stressed the importance of deliberation in resolving issues within the community. Open communication and a willingness to listen to others’ views are necessary to ensure that differences can be addressed wisely.

“The values embodied in the Four Pillars of MPR RI are closely connected to our daily lives. Therefore, it is important for us to understand their meaning, starting from the family environment and extending to community life, so that the spirit of national unity remains strong,” she said.

Darwati expressed hope that through the socialization, residents would gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of the Four Pillars of MPR RI and develop greater awareness of the importance of maintaining harmonious social relations, strengthening mutual concern, and building a community grounded in solidarity and brotherhood.
