DPD RI Holds Election of Leadership of Supporting Apparatus

Jakarta, dpd.go.id - The House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) held elections for the leadership of its supporting apparatus for the 2026-2027 session year. The election was conducted by prioritizing the spirit of deliberation and consensus.

The Speaker of DPD RI, Sultan B. Najamudin explained that the process of selecting the leadership of the supporting apparatus (Alat Kelengkapan) in DPD RI began with consolidation and meetings in each sub-region, namely West I, West II, East I, and East II to discuss and propose member representation, which was then continued to a plenary meeting of the supporting apparatus and ratified through a Plenary Session.

"We emphasize the importance of maintaining unity and political maturity in each sub-region. The election mechanism is aimed at minimizing unproductive internal competition," Sultan stated while opening the West Sub-Region I meeting in the Kutai Meeting Room on Wednesday (19/8/2026).

Sultan further stated that the elected Alkel leaders are expected to have the appropriate skills in their respective fields, so that they can improve Alkel's performance in fighting for regional aspirations.

From the results of the Alkel leadership election that has been carried out, Committee I DPD RI will be led by Andi Sofyan Hasdam as chairperson and Carel Simon Petrus Suebu, Bahar Buasan, and Ade Yuliasih as vice chairs.

Committee II of the DPD RI will be led by Badikenita BR Sitepu, with the vice chairs being Angelius Wake Kako, Abdul Waris Halid and La Ode Umar Bonte.

Meanwhile, Committee III of the DPD RI will be led by Filep Wamafma as chairperson, and Muhammad Mursyid, Ahmad Syauqi Soeratno, and Erni Daryanti as vice chairs, and Committee IV of the DPD RI will be led by Ahmad Nawardi, with vice chairs Hj. Elviana, Novita Anakotta, and Aji Mirni Mawarni.
