Vice Speaker of the DPD RI, Tamsil Linrung, Conducted Supervision and Evaluation of the BGN (National Nutrition Agency) Office of South Sulawesi Province

Makassar, dpd.go.id - Vice Speaker of the House of the Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI), Tamsil Linrung, paid a working visit to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office in South Sulawesi on Monday (June 8). The visit was conducted to hear firsthand about various developments and challenges faced by the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) implementers in the region.

During the visit, Tamsil Linrung was welcomed by the Head of the South Sulawesi KPPG Regional Office, Handayani Syaukani. Also in attendance were the Regional Head of the South Sulawesi National Land Agency (BGN), Muhammad Abdi S. Gilman, and the Makassar Regional Coordinator, Abdillah Sattari.

On that occasion, Tamsil Linrung emphasized the DPD RI's commitment to continue overseeing the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program so that it runs optimally and provides benefits to the community.

"We have received various information regarding developments at the National Civil Service Agency (BGN). However, we hope that the current dynamics will not impact the performance of BGN officials in the regions. DPD RI will continue to monitor and supervise the implementation of this program, as it concerns the interests of the wider community," he said.

He stated that he hoped the various issues at the central level would not disrupt program implementation in the regions. One issue frequently raised at the meeting was the delay in the operation of several MBG kitchens due to slow licensing and administrative processes.

"We have received information that several MBG kitchens in the regions are still experiencing operational delays. In fact, the President has also highlighted the slowness of the kitchen licensing process. Therefore, various existing obstacles need to be resolved immediately so that this program can run on target," said Tamsil.

Furthermore, Mr. Tamsil Linrung expressed his optimism regarding the new leadership at the National Nutrition Agency. He stated that the arrival of the new BGN Head, Nanik S. Deyang, is expected to bring new energy to strengthen the agency's performance.

"We are optimistic that under the leadership of Ms. Nanik S. Deyang, the various obstacles encountered can be successfully resolved. The DPD RI is ready to support efforts to expedite the resolution of various obstacles that have hampered program implementation, so that its benefits can be maximized by the community," he said.

The Vice Speaker of the House of the Regional Representatives (DPD) also asked all BGN leaders and staff in the regions to remain focused on carrying out their duties and not be influenced by various emerging issues. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the quality of public service for the success of programs that are one of the government's priorities.
