The Speaker of DPD RI Distributes Sacrificial Meat to the Community on the Celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 H

Jakarta, dpd.go.id – In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, The House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) distributed sacrificial meat to the community as a form of social concern and strengthening the spirit of togetherness within the community.

The distribution of sacrificial meat is carried out through a series of sacrificial activities carried out within the DPD RI Senayan Complex and distributed to the surrounding community, support staff, and community groups in need in a number of areas.

The Speaker of DPD RI, Sultan Baktiar Najamudin, said that the momentum of Eid al-Adha is not only interpreted as a mere ritual worship, but also a reminder of the importance of social solidarity, sincerity, and the spirit of sharing with others.

"Eid al-Adha teaches us about the values of being human beings with a spirit of sacrifice, sincerity, and social concern. Through the distribution of this sacrificial meat, the DPD RI wants to be present and share happiness with the community, especially our brothers and sisters in need," said Sultan, accompanied by Vice Speaker of the DPD RI Yorrys Raweyai, DPD RI Members, and DPD RI Secretary General, Mohammad Iqbal and staff, at the DPD RI Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (27/5/2026).

He emphasized that the spirit of mutual cooperation and concern for others is an important foundation in strengthening national unity amidst the various social and economic challenges facing society today.

"The presence of the state and state institutions must truly be felt by the people. The momentum of Eid al-Adha serves as a reminder that family togetherness and social solidarity are the main strengths of the Indonesian nation," he added.

Apart from being a form of worship, the sacrificial activity of 12 cows in the DPD RI Senayan Complex is also expected to strengthen relations between state institutions and the surrounding community and strengthen humanitarian and national values.

The Speaker of the DPD RI also invited all elements of the nation to make Eid al-Adha as a momentum to strengthen brotherhood, expand social awareness, and maintain harmony in community life.**
