Bandung, dpd.go.id - The rooftop of the West Java DPRD building was buzzing with youthful energy from representatives of 157 Youth Community Organizations (OKP) and students from across West Java.
Amid increasingly complex global and national dynamics, Member of Committee I of the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI), Aanya Rina Casmayanti, familiarly known as Teh Aanya, has taken a tactical approach to garner youth support. The presence of these activists symbolizes the importance of youth synergy with the National Police (Polri) in maintaining public order and security in West Java amidst various social challenges, ranging from intolerance and land conflicts to the rise of street crimes such as muggings.
The Director of Intelligence and Security for the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Sukendar Eka Ristyan, explained that regional stability is currently facing a tough test. The impact of the energy struggle in the Middle East, domestic issues such as the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG), fuel price fluctuations, and local dynamics such as religious disputes and village leadership polemics demand full preparedness. This is where the urgency of youth synergy with the National Police (Polri) to maintain public order and security in West Java finds its momentum.
"The Indonesian National Police will never obstruct democratic space or demonstrations, as long as they are conveyed politely, within legal corridors, and not anarchically," he explained on the rooftop of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Building, Bandung, Sunday (19/7/2026).
Responding to this challenge, Teh Aanya didn't just come to listen, but rather brought concrete solutions based on President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran's Asta Cita (Asta Cita). Through Teh Aanya's innovative 24-Hour Command Center service, she opened up a space for residents to report security disturbances. This step was born of deep empathy, as Teh Aanya herself admitted to having been a victim of a robbery herself. This bitter experience of losing her possessions fueled her awareness that the synergy between youth and the police in maintaining public order and security in West Java is a non-negotiable priority.
Maintaining stability in an area as vast as West Java is clearly no easy task and cannot be left to the police alone. It requires a collective effort from all youth groups, as emphasized by Awi Jaya, the Chairman of MAPANCAS, the event's initiator.
When Teh Aanya posed the key question to hundreds of youth officials, "Do you agree to accompany the TNI-Polri in safeguarding West Java?", the room immediately shook with a simultaneous shout: "Agreed!" This synergy concluded with a joint declaration of support for Teh Aanya's Command Center, a concrete commitment that the youth of West Java are ready to stand tall as a bulwark of peace and a glue for national unity.
