West Sumbawa, dpd.go.id – Member of Committee IV of the DPD RI from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, Senator Hj. Evi Apita Maya, emphasized the DPD RI's commitment to overseeing the implementation of the Village Law, the distribution of Transfer Funds to Regions (TKD), and ensuring that Village Funds are on target through the Village Financial Management and Development Evaluation Workshop held by the NTB Representative of the BPKP in West Sumbawa Regency (24/06/2026).

"The House of the Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) has a responsibility to ensure that the policies and budgets allocated to villages truly benefit the community. Oversight of Village Funds must be carried out optimally to ensure their management is transparent, accountable, and impacts the welfare of village communities," said Senator Evi Apita Maya.

In her presentation, Senator Evi Apita Maya highlighted the Village Fund allocation in West Nusa Tenggara, which experienced a decline in 2025. According to her, this condition is a concern for the DPD RI to ensure the effectiveness of state spending is maintained without reducing the basic rights of village communities.

In addition, Senator Evi Apita Maya explained that the DPD RI's supervision is also focused on the implementation of the Village Law, starting from strengthening the capacity of village officials, improving the quality of public services, community empowerment, developing Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa), to the governance of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative so that it runs in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

Through this activity, Senator Evi Apita Maya hopes that stronger synergy will be built between the central government, regional governments, supervisory officials, law enforcement officials, and village governments in realizing village financial governance that is more transparent and accountable, and able to encourage independence and sustainable village development.
