Senator Azhari Cage Once Again Repratiate the Body of an Aceh Tamiang Resident from Bekasi

JAKARTA, dpd.go.id – DPD RI Senator from Aceh, Azhari Cage SIP, has once again helps repratiate the body of an Acehnese resident who passed away in Jakarta to their hometown.

The individual was the late M. Fauzi, a resident of Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang. Born in 1994, the young man passed away at Budhi Asih Hospital in Jakarta after receiving treatment for an illness.

"The body will be flown via Citilink tomorrow, Sunday (today-ed), April 5, at 08:10 AM and is expected to arrive at Kualanamu Airport, North Sumatra, around 10:30 AM," Azhari Cage told reporters in Jakarta on Saturday night, April 4, 2026.

Azhari Cage added that the body will be met by the family and transported to the funeral home in Alue Lhok Village, Karang Baru District, Aceh Tamiang Regency, for burial.

The Senator stated that he received the news of M. Fauzi's passing from the deceased’s older brother.

"I was called by the late Fauzi's brother, Fauzan, and the team, requesting assistance in facilitating the repatriation of the body," said the former spokesperson for the Central Aceh Transition Committee (KPA).

Senator Azhari Cage personally covered the Rp12 million repatriation cost from Jakarta to Aceh, as well as Rp2 million for ambulance services between Tamiang and Medan. The total cost of Rp14 million was funded personally by Senator Azhari Cage.

"I would like to thank the Aceh Liaison Office in Jakarta for handling all the administration and assisting throughout the process so that the remains of the late M. Fauzi could be brought back to the funeral home in Alue Lhok, Aceh Tamiang," said Azhari Cage.

As noted, the late M. Fauzi had been treated at Budhi Asih Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Jakarta from March 30 to April 4, 2026. He was hospitalized due to symptoms of shortness of breath and nausea before eventually passing away.

Azhari Cage is widely known as an Acehnese representative in Jakarta who frequently assists in the repatriation of Acehnese who pass away while living away from home.
