ddpd.go.id Banda Aceh — Secretary General of Indonesia’s Regional Representative Council (DPD RI), Muhammad Iqbal, accompanied by the Chairwoman of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the DPD RI Secretariat General, Mrs. Hj. Nindya M. Iqbal, paid a working visit to the DPD RI Office in Aceh Province on Monday (May 25, 2026).

Upon arrival, the Secretary General was welcomed by the Head of the DPD RI Aceh Provincial Office, Wahyu Taufik Sukmawijaya, along with all staff members of the office.

During the visit, Muhammad Iqbal inspected the office’s facilities and infrastructure firsthand. The Aceh Provincial Office currently operates from a building owned by the Aceh Provincial Government under a lending arrangement. The inspection aimed to assess the facilities supporting the institution’s duties and functions in the region.

The agenda continued with a gathering and discussion involving all employees of the Aceh Provincial Office. On the occasion, the Head of Office outlined several challenges and needs, including limitations in facilities and infrastructure, the need for human resource development, and additional workplace support to enhance institutional services and operations.

Employee representatives also expressed hopes for greater attention to staff capacity-building programs and improved workplace facilities to support optimal performance.

Responding to these concerns, the Secretary General emphasized that his visit was not merely ceremonial, but intended to strengthen ties and reinforce collective commitment in supporting DPD RI’s institutional responsibilities.

“I am here not simply for documentation or ceremonial purposes, but to strengthen our sense of togetherness and ensure that we share the same vision and mission in supporting the work of DPD RI,” Muhammad Iqbal said.

He also expressed appreciation for the dedication and commitment shown by employees despite various limitations in facilities, organizational structure, and human resources.

According to him, such constraints should not hinder efforts to improve the quality of work and public service. He stressed the importance of discipline, accountability, and continuous competency development, particularly amid rapid advances in technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Master your respective duties and responsibilities. Do not allow limitations to become an excuse for underachievement. I believe every challenge has a solution, and God willing, we will continue to address them gradually,” he said.

In his remarks, the Secretary General likened employees’ work ethic to that of a racehorse. He noted that success is not always determined by the abundance of resources, but by determination, enthusiasm, and hard work.

“Some racehorses are equipped with complete facilities but achieve only ordinary results. Meanwhile, smaller horses with limited resources can emerge as champions because of their determination and spirit. I hope the Aceh Provincial Office can demonstrate that same quality,” he remarked.

He expressed confidence that, under the leadership of the Head of the Aceh Provincial Office and its cohesive team, the office would continue to provide strong support to DPD RI members representing Aceh while delivering achievements worthy of national recognition.

On the same occasion, Muhammad Iqbal also encouraged the continued activation of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) activities as a means of strengthening camaraderie and fostering a family-oriented work environment.

Concluding his remarks, the Secretary General thanked the Aceh office for its warm hospitality and reminded all employees to maintain their health, family harmony, and dedication to public service.

“May Allah SWT continue to bless us with health, guidance, and ease in every step of our service to the nation,” he concluded.
