Rahmijati Jahja Holds Educational and Islamic Competition to Celebrate National Children's Day

Gorontalo, dpd.go.id – Member of the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) for the Electoral District of Gorontalo Province, Hj. Rahmijati Jahja, held various educational and Islamic competitions for hundreds of male and female students of the David Bobihoe Qur'an Love House (RCQ) in commemoration of the 42nd National Children's Day (HAN), Thursday (23/07). The activities, which took place at Rahmijati Jahja's residence, were part of the recess agenda and a manifestation of commitment to supporting children's growth and development through character education and religious values.

"Children are a national asset that we must protect and prepare as best we can. National Children's Day is a moment to provide them with the space to learn, be creative, and develop their potential in a positive environment," said Rahmijati.

In addition to gathering community input during the recess, Rahmijati invited the students to participate in various competitions combining elements of education, creativity, and character building. The activities were lively and enthusiastic, serving as a way to strengthen camaraderie among the participants.

According to Rahmijati, the commemoration of National Children's Day should not only be interpreted as a ceremonial activity, but also as a reminder for all elements of society to continue to fulfill children's rights to education, protection, and the opportunity to develop their potential.

He believes that character education instilled from an early age will be a crucial foundation for developing a generation with noble morals, self-confidence, and a passion for continuous learning and achievement. Therefore, collaboration between families, educational institutions, and the community needs to be continuously strengthened to ensure optimal child development.

"Through these educational and Islamic competitions, we want to instill the values of sportsmanship, cooperation, honesty, and a love of religious teachings. We hope these simple activities will be a fun experience and benefit the children's character development," said Rahmijati.

At the end of the event, Rahmijati expressed her appreciation to all participants who had enthusiastically participated in the competition. She also presented prizes to the winners as a token of appreciation for their efforts, creativity, and courage in competing fairly.

Rahmijati hopes the spirit of National Children's Day will continue to inspire everyone to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for children's growth and development.
