Banjarmasin, dpd.go.id – Member of the DPD RI from the South Kalimantan electoral district, Muhammad Hidayattollah, familiarly known as Dayat El, conducted an aspiration gathering activity at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Office of South Kalimantan Province.
In the meeting, one of the strategic issues that emerged was the existence of the South Kalimantan BNN Provincial office, which is currently still in Banjarmasin.
According to Dayat El, with the designation of Banjarbaru as the capital of South Kalimantan Province, it is only right that the offices of vertical agencies at the provincial level, including the BNN, also adjust their presence.
"This is part of the aspirations I've absorbed. In terms of governance, ideally, the BNN Provincial Office would be located in Banjarbaru, the provincial capital. This is crucial for effective coordination and a symbol of seriousness in governance," Dayat El emphasized.
As a representative of the Regional Representatives/People who always utter his voice, Dayat El emphasized that all aspirations conveyed will be fought for at the central level through Committee I of the DPD RI, in accordance with the scope and field of duties carried out.
Beyond institutional issues, Dayat El also highlighted the importance of strengthening drugs campaigns in the digital era. He urged the South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to utilize social media to promote education and prevention.
"Now is the era of Gen Z. Social media must be frequently updated with educational content about the dangers of drugs. Don't lose the narrative to negative content. We must enter the digital space of young people," he said.
As a figure of a Competent Young Person, Muhammad Hidayattollah also collaborated with elements of the younger-generation from representatives, including Gekrafs Banjarmasin and Nanang Galuh of Banjarmasin City to provide a young person's perspective in drug prevention efforts.
According to Dayat El, cross-sector collaboration between state institutions, creative communities, and youth ambassadors is key to building a joint movement against drugs in South Kalimantan.
"We want this movement to be more than just a formality, but a collective one. The government, communities, and youth must stand on the same page," concluded Muhammad Hidayattollah, a member of DPD RI from the South Kalimantan electoral district and a member of Committee I.
This activity affirms Dayat El's commitment as a Regional/People's Representative who always speaks up to continue to be present to absorb aspirations, fight for them at the national level, and ensure that the young generation of Banua is protected from the threat of drugs.
