Helping Improve an Elementary School in South Bengkulu: IDE Preneur and GDI Hold Golf Charity 2026

Indonesian Democracy and Education (IDE) Preneur, in collaboration with the Green Democracy Institute (GDI), held the Golf Charity 2026 event in Karawaci, Tangerang, Banten, on Friday (July 17).

The youth organization, established under the guidance of the Speaker of Indonesia's House of Regional Representative of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI), Sultan B. Najamudin, previously organized a successful Golf Charity event in 2025. The proceeds from that event were used to renovate and improve the facilities of an elementary school in Soe, East Nusa Tenggara.

"This charity program is part of our commitment to supporting the government's efforts to strengthen human capital development and improve educational ecosystems in the regions. Our motivation is simple to foster friendship while encouraging the generosity of golfers, so that together we can help communities in need," Sultan said in his remarks.

He emphasized that education is the cornerstone of national development, making it essential to prioritize adequate educational infrastructure and learning environments as part of Indonesia's broader development agenda.

"We invite all segments of society, especially young entrepreneurs, to support the government's priority programs aimed at improving the quality of human resources, including initiatives such as the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG), People's Schools, and other educational programs," said the former Chairman of the Bengkulu chapter of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI).

"On behalf of the DPD RI, we highly appreciate and welcome this remarkable charity initiative by IDE Preneur. God willing, we hope this program will continue to grow in scale, allowing us to support even more schools across the country," he added.

Meanwhile, Putra, Chairman of the IDE Preneur Golf Charity 2026 Organizing Committee, revealed that the proceeds from this year's event will be used to renovate an elementary school building in South Bengkulu Regency.

"We have conducted assessments and verification of several candidate schools eligible to receive assistance from this year's Golf Charity. After careful consideration, SD Negeri 35 South Bengkulu has been selected as the beneficiary," he said.

The Golf Charity event brought together hundreds of entrepreneurs and golfers from Indonesia and abroad. Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Indonesia, Prof. Muhammad Syarifuddin, along with several former Supreme Court justices, also participated in the event.

Also in attendance were ambassadors from friendly nations, including the Ambassadors of Thailand and Laos, as well as the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Seychelles for ASEAN. Business leaders from South Korea and China were also among the participants.
