Ensuring the Comfort of Hajj Pilgrims, DPD RI Inspects the Departure Flow at the YIA Embarkation Point

Yogyakarta, dpd.go.id - Member of Committee III of the House of the Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) from the Province of Yogyakarta, Ahmad Syauqi Soeratno, directly monitored the readiness of facilities and ensured the departure flow of 2026 Hajj pilgrims, at the Novotel and Ibis YIA Hotels on Monday, (4/5). This agenda was also attended by the Acting Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj, Silvia Rosetti; the Chairperson of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH), Jauhar Mustofa; the Acting Head of the Health Quarantine Office, Tatok Redjadi, and other relevant stakeholders.

During this visit, Ahmad, along with PPIH YIA, monitored various key points, from arrivals and immigration checks to the waiting room for departure via YIA embarkation, ensuring a safe and efficient process.

"Alhamdulillah, I have personally inspected the verification area, clinic, meeting room, restaurant, and reconfirmation hall for various matters. We are also supported by adequate facilities from various parties, including the Health Quarantine and Immigration Offices, to facilitate the pilgrims' activities," Amad said.

He also added that if PPIH encounters any obstacles, they must be addressed immediately so that the issues can be resolved quickly. "So, we'll see how the final group departs. After that, a joint evaluation will be conducted, although coordination has been going well so far," he concluded.

In his presentation, PPIH Chairman Jauhar Mustofa stated that the YIA embarkation is the only hotel-based embarkation in Indonesia.

"Thank God, everything has been well-served, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and other aspects. Therefore, we ask for the prayers and blessings of Mr. Syauqi and the DPD RI team so that this embarkation can continue to provide even better service," Jauhar stated.

This working visit is expected to strengthen cross-sector coordination and ensure that all operational standards at the YIA embarkation point are in accordance with regulations and are oriented towards protecting pilgrims, thus providing maximum comfort during the departure process.*
