During a Bukber (breaking of fast) and Sharing Session with FOKUS, the DPD RI Secretariat General Builds Seamless Communication

JAKARTA, dpd.go.id - The Secretariat General of The House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) together with the Communication Forum of Expert Staff Members (FOKUS) of the DPD RI held a Gathering and Fast-Breaking event entitled "Chatting Without Barriers, Working With Blessings" in the DPD RI Lobby, Senayan Parliament Complex, on Tuesday (10/3/2026).

The activity, which was attended by the leadership and ranks of the Secretariat General of the DPD RI, expert staff members (DPD RI), and children from the Abadi Surga Cinere Depok Foundation, became a momentum for social activities as well as strengthening communication and collaboration between elements of the secretariat and expert staff members in providing optimal support for the constitutional duties of DPD RI members.

Chairman of FOKUS DPD RI Muhammad Adlan Nawawi said that the breaking of the fast together activity is an annual routine agenda which is not only an opportunity for friendship, but also a communication forum for all expert staff members from various regions.

"FOKUS DPD RI is a communication platform for expert staff members to share experiences and strengthen coordination. Through activities like this, we can gather, discuss, and strengthen support for the performance of DPD RI members," said Adlan.

After a series of breaking the fast together, the activity continued with a sharing session, the discussion highlighted the importance of improving the quality and capacity of expert staff as part of the supporting system for DPD RI members.

On that occasion, Head of Bureau of Assembly I of the DPD RI Secretariat General, Yulia Indrianingtyas, emphasized the importance of intense communication between the secretariat and expert staff members, both in Jakarta and in the regions.

"With good coordination, these mitigation efforts will certainly strengthen synergy in carrying out tasks, particularly in managing public aspirations and formulating policy recommendations," he explained.

He also highlighted the strategic role of expert staff in supporting the work of the DPD RI's supporting apparatus, including in compiling studies and strengthening the substance of members' activities, especially during recess.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bureau of Assembly II of the DPD RI Secretariat General, Dr. Untung Putra Jaya, assessed that this kind of gathering forum has an important meaning because it is able to bridge communication between expert staff members and the secretariat, which has been working in one system but often operates separately.

"We're all under the same roof. Through activities like this, we can understand each other's roles and strengthen collaboration in supporting the performance of DPD RI members," said Untung.

From the institutional communication perspective, Mahyu Darma, Head of Bureau of Protocol, Public Relations, and Media of the DPD RI Secretariat General, emphasized that communication and collaboration are key to building a strong institutional image.

According to him, the DPD RI holds a strategic position in the state system because it directly represents the regions. Therefore, synergy between members, expert staff, and the secretariat is crucial to strengthening the DPD RI's role in championing regional aspirations.

"Communication and collaboration are key. We need to work together to strengthen the institution's image, including by optimizing media and digital platforms to increase public awareness of the DPD RI's role," he said.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the working relationship between the Secretariat General of the DPD RI and its expert staff members will become more solid, so that they can provide professional, responsive, and collaborative support for DPD RI members in carrying out their legislative, supervisory, and regional representation functions.
