Jakarta, dpd.go.id – The House of Regional Representatives (DPD) of the Republic of Indonesia emphasized that the Semester II 2025 Summary of Audit Results (IHPS) from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) must be followed up with concrete actions to provide tangible benefits for people in the regions. DPD RI is also committed to monitoring the follow-up of the Semester II 2025 IHPS to ensure it translates into policies that favor the public interest.
During the 9th Plenary Session of Session Period IV for the 2025-2026 Sitting Year, held at the Nusantara V Building, Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 23, 2026)—which included the presentation of the Semester II 2025 IHPS by the Vice Chairman of the BPK RI, Budi Prijono—the Speaker of the DPD RI, Sultan B. Najamudin, emphasized that audit reports must not stop at administrative findings. Instead, they must serve as the foundation for improving financial governance that directly impacts public services and community welfare.
“From the various reports and notes presented by the Vice Chairman of the BPK RI, we ask all Members and Organs of the DPD RI to treat them as vital records in the execution of our constitutional duties. It is hoped that this will serve as material for synergy with local governments, particularly in following up on the BPK RI recommendations, for the sake of improvement and the realization of transparent and accountable financial governance,' said Sultan during the Plenary Session, which was also presided over by the three Vice Speakers of the DPD RI: GKR Hemas, Yorrys Raweyai, and Tamsil Linrung.
Sultan stated that the DPD RI views the quality of regional financial management as still facing various challenges, ranging from spending effectiveness to the follow-up of audit recommendations. He noted that these conditions have the potential to hinder development and directly impact the public if not promptly addressed.
To that end, Sultan continued, the DPD RI is committed to overseeing the follow-up of the Semester II 2025 IHPS through its oversight and institutional functions, ensuring that every recommendation is truly translated into policies that favor the regions. In this regard, the Leadership of the DPD RI has assigned Committee IV, which oversees central and regional financial relations, to follow up on these BPK RI audit results.
“Committee IV must immediately dissect this report in detail, summon the relevant parties, and formulate concrete policy recommendations for both the central and regional governments, which will later be reflected in the DPD RI's Consideration regarding the Semester II 2025 Summary of Audit Results. Let us ensure that every figure in this report leads to the improvement of the people's lives in every corner of the country,” Sultan emphasized.
Sultan continued, The DPD RI ensures that every finding indicating state losses will be followed up through oversight mechanisms via the DPD RI’s Public Accountability Board (BAP), so that the management of state finances becomes increasingly accountable and provides a tangible impact on public welfare.
