Banjarbaru, dpd.go.id - Member of the House of the Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) from the South Kalimantan region, Muhammad Hidayattollah, or familiarly known as Dayat El, held a meeting with the Head of the South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office to discuss strengthening village fund supervision through the Jaga Desa program, Thursday (5/3).
In the meeting, Dayat El, who is a member of Committee I of the DPD RI, received various inputs regarding the obstacles faced by village officials in the field.
These include the limited capabilities of village officials in using financial reporting applications, unstable internet networks, and village fund reporting applications that often experience disruptions when approaching the data input deadline.
In addition, the need for clarity on the village fund management mechanism for BUMDes and the Merah Putih Cooperative was also discussed to avoid overlapping in budget management.
The South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office explained that through the Jaga Desa program, the prosecutor's office continues to take preventive measures in the form of outreach to village heads and village officials regarding potential legal violations in the management of village funds.
Responding to this, Dayat El, who is known as a competent young man and regional representative who always speaks for the people, encouraged collaboration between the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, the prosecutor's office, and the police in providing guidance and outreach to village officials.
As a regional representative from South Kalimantan, Dayat El also proposed that villages collaborate with the South Kalimantan Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) to optimize the use of village funds in a creative, innovative, and targeted manner so as to encourage the birth of independent villages.
In addition, Dayat El also encouraged collaboration in socializing legal literacy to the community by involving the younger generation, one of which was through synergy with Nanang Galuh Banjarmasin, so that legal understanding could be conveyed more widely and closer to young people in South Kalimantan.
According to him, the synergy between the South Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office and the DPD RI senator for the South Kalimantan electoral district, including himself as a member of DPD RI Committee I, can strengthen the monitoring and evaluation process for the use of village funds so that various obstacles in the field can become input in improving policies for village communities.
