Banda Aceh, dpd.go.id - Member of the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI) representing the Aceh constituency, Darwati A. Gani, held an Education Seminar and Socialization of the Four Pillars of Nationality at the Aceh PGRI Hall on Friday (June 19). The event, which carried the theme “Synergy of the Education Office, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Aceh PGRI within the Framework of the Education Seminar and Socialization of the 4 Pillars of Nationality to Achieve Great and Dignified Aceh Education,” served as a strategic forum to reinforce national values while building synergy to advance the education sector in Aceh.

The seminar was attended by teachers, academics, PGRI administrators, officials from the Education Office, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and various stakeholders in the field of education. In addition to serving as a platform for socializing the Four Pillars of Nationality, the event also provided a space for dialogue to absorb the aspirations and inputs of educators regarding various challenges facing education in Aceh.

In her remarks, Darwati A. Gani emphasized that education plays a central role in instilling the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) in the younger generation. According to her, strengthening national character must go hand in hand with improving the quality of education.

“The Four Pillars of Nationality are not only the foundation for our life as a nation and state, but must also be part of the educational process to shape a generation that is intelligent, possesses integrity, and holds a spirit of unity. Quality education will produce human resources capable of leading Aceh and Indonesia toward a better future,” Darwati stated.

On that occasion, the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) of Aceh presented several strategic recommendations to Darwati A. Gani as a reflection of the aspirations of educators. The recommendations covered various important issues, including strengthening regulations and educational policies that favor quality, improving the welfare and protection of the teaching profession, ensuring an equitable distribution of educators, and strengthening more effective and adaptive educational governance.

Furthermore, Aceh PGRI pushed for the optimization of the education budget, enhancing the quality of leadership in educational institutions, integrating formal and non-formal education, and expanding access to inclusive education so that all children of the nation receive equal and quality learning opportunities.

Responding to this, Darwati expressed her appreciation for the recommendations provided by Aceh PGRI and reaffirmed her commitment to championing these aspirations through her duties and authority as a member of the DPD RI.

“I would like to thank Aceh PGRI for the comprehensively drafted recommendations. This input will serve as important material that I will bring to the national level so that educational policies increasingly favor teachers, students, and regional needs. Collaboration like this is a major asset in realizing a great and dignified education in Aceh,” she asserted.

Darwati hopes that through the Socialization of the Four Pillars of Nationality and the continuously strengthened synergy between the government, professional organizations, and the community, various educational challenges can be overcome collectively. She remains optimistic that with the right policies and the support of all stakeholders, Aceh will be capable of producing an excellent, character-driven generation that is ready to contribute to the progress of the nation and state.
