Bekasi, dpd.go.id – Concern for Acehnese people facing hardship was once again shown by Aceh Senator Azhari Cage. He willingly used IDR 10 million of his personal funds to assist in the repatriation of the body of Fakhrizal (30), a resident of Tanjong Bungoeng, Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency, who passed away in Bekasi.
The assistance was provided after Azhari Cage received a request from the deceased's father and the head of the Bireuen Regency community organization, Tgk Maulidi, who contacted him directly regarding the family's situation and their need for help to bring Fakhrizal’s body back to Aceh.
Upon receiving the information, Azhari Cage immediately moved to coordinate with various parties, including the Vice Chairman of the Aceh Community Association in Jakarta (Taman Iskandar Muda), Muhammad Rizal, to ensure the repatriation process ran smoothly until the body reached the deceased's birthplace.
"As soon as we received news of the tragedy affecting an Acehnese living away from home, we made every effort to help so that the body could be returned promptly and the family could conduct a proper burial," Azhari Cage said.
The total cost required for the repatriation reached IDR 18 million. Of that amount, Azhari Cage covered IDR 10 million using his personal funds, while the remaining IDR 8 million was provided by the family.
The funds were used to cover the transport of the body from Jakarta to Kualanamu Airport in Medan (costing IDR 8 million), as well as the ambulance cost from Medan to Aceh (costing IDR 2 million) provided by Senator Azhari Cage, with the remainder handled by the family. The body is scheduled to be flown from Jakarta to Medan tomorrow morning at 5:30 AM via Citilink, estimated to arrive at Kualanamu, Medan at 7:50 AM.
For Fakhrizal’s family, the assistance was deeply meaningful amidst their grief. The family expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Azhari Cage for his attentiveness and for easing their burden.
"We are very grateful to Mr. Azhari Cage for his care and the assistance provided. At a time when we were grieving and in need of help, he stepped in to assist with returning our family member's body. May Allah reward all his kindness," a family representative stated.
Azhari Cage emphasized that caring for the people of Aceh both those back home and living abroad or in other provinces is a shared responsibility. According to him, any Acehnese people experiencing misfortune deserves attention and support from their fellow countrymen.
This event serves as proof that solidarity among the Acehnese diaspora remains strong, especially when a fellow citizen requires aid during difficult times.
