Banten, dpd.go.id – Member of Committee I of the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI), Ade Yuliasih, conducted a recess visit to the Banten High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) in Curug District, Serang City, Banten, on Thursday (July 23, 2026). The visit was part of her recess agenda to gather information and input regarding the strengthening of governance, particularly through the implementation of the Jaga Desa (Guard the Village) Program.

During the meeting, Ade Yuliasih discussed various efforts to maintain security and public order stability in Banten Province with officials from the Banten High Prosecutor's Office through a community guidance approach. According to her, synergy between the government, law enforcement agencies, and the community is key to creating a safe and conducive region while minimizing criminal acts.

One of the highlighted initiatives during the visit was the Jaga Desa Program presented by the Prosecutor's Office. The program is considered a preventive measure to strengthen village government administration by providing legal guidance to village officials, ensuring they carry out their duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

"The Jaga Desa Program presented by the Prosecutor's Office must continue to be monitored and strengthened. Especially since Banten Province borders several strategic national vital objects, making efforts to maintain security stability and strengthen governance down to the village level crucial," said Ade Yuliasih.

She also commended the Banten High Prosecutor's Office for prioritizing a preventive approach through guidance for village officials. "The Jaga Desa Program is a strategic step toward building good village governance. Such guidance is essential so that village officials have adequate understanding in managing budgets while avoiding legal issues," she added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Banten High Prosecutor's Office, Bernadeta Maria Erna Elastiyani, presented the current state of law enforcement in the Banten region. She noted that narcotics offenses remain the most prominent form of crime in Banten Province. In addition, cases of immoral offenses and religious blasphemy continue to be key focus areas for local law enforcement efforts to date.

Finally, Ade Yuliasih expressed hope that this moment would serve as a step toward strengthening coordination between the DPD RI and the Banten High Prosecutor's Office in supporting crime prevention efforts, reinforcing governance down to the village level, and creating a safe and conducive environment for the people of Banten.
