Jakarta, dpd.go.id - Vice Speaker of the House of Regional Representative (DPD RI) GKR Hemas promised to follow up on a number of development needs in Pandeglang Regency with the relevant ministries. She made this commitment during an audience with Pandeglang Regent Raden Dewi Setiani and her staff.

GKR Hemas emphasized the importance of the role of the Members of the Banten Province DPD RI in understanding and overseeing the needs of Pandeglang Regency, especially regarding support from ministries related to regional development.

"I would like to convey that the Regent of Pandeglang faces various challenges in regional development, particularly regarding support from the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Education. I emphasize the importance of the Members of DPD RI of Banten Province understanding and overseeing the needs of Pandeglang Regency, which has extraordinary potential as a food barn, especially in the rice farming sector," said GKR Hemas at Nusantara III, Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (23/9/2026).

He also highlighted the importance of improving the agricultural sector for millennial farmers. He stated that efforts to improve agriculture for millennial farmers are also a focus of the House of Regional Representative (DPD RI).

"I want to follow up on this matter as soon as possible and will convey Pandeglang Regency's request to the relevant ministries and determine the priorities that need to be addressed so that the region's needs can be met," said GKR Hemas.

Meanwhile, Pandeglang Regent Raden Dewi Setiani expressed her gratitude for the synergy established with the House of Regional Representative (DPD RI). She also hoped this collaboration would continue for the welfare of the region and the province. "I hope the central government can provide budgetary support for regional development, particularly to promote food security in Pandeglang Regency," she said.
